Usability Developer / Senior Usability Developer

We are looking for a Usability Developer to join our Product Experience team in Helsinki. As a Usability Developer at Rightware you improve usability of existing and define workflows for new features in our products. The role spans usability, user experience, user guidance, and software development. Your contributions ensure our users' success by enabling them to effectively and efficiently develop applications with our products. In this role you work closely with product owners, developers, designers, and stakeholders to create and deliver intuitive user experiences. The ideal candidate has a solid technical and developer background, a usability-first attitude, excellent written and spoken communication skills, a knack for figuring out what our users need, and the ability to create that. Your Responsibilities
- Understand user requirements by collaborating with our users, support, and product owners.
- Identify usability issues and areas for improvement.
- Design and prototype user interfaces that are intuitive, efficient, and visually appealing.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate your ideas.
- Provide detailed usability designs for other developers to execute.
- Translate your findings and ideas into actionable development tasks and implement these improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, other developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of your solutions into our products.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and propose new features or improvements to enhance user experience.
- Create, own, promote, and foster usability culture and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across products.
- Mentor and guide other developers on best practices in usability, UX, and DX.
Is this you?
You have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, HCI, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development, and usability, UX, or DX.
- Solid software engineering background with knowledge of at least one modern programming language (for example, C#, TypeScript).
- Strong technical background with proficiency in programming languages, such as C++, C#, Java.
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with UI frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate your ideas.
- Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a strong commitment to user satisfaction.
- Fluent English language skills, both spoken and written.
