Kanzi UI is the industry-leading software tool for automotive graphical user interfaces, powering millions of cars on the road already. Our first customer, Audi, has based their Virtual Cockpit on Kanzi since 2012. Kanzi is now in use by dozens of other car brands, from well-known Italian supercars to Chinese EV startups, from the latest Range Rover Velar to the all-new Ford Mustang. The Kanzi UI business unit is home to some 40 professionals developing the core products on which our company’s value is built, Kanzi Studio and Kanzi Runtime. Due to our growing customer base and quality requirements, we are planning to strengthen our Quality Assurance team by hiring several new people.
You as a Quality Assurance Trainee will join the effort by participating in a range of quality assurance activities. The central activity being carrying out testing according to feature and release test plans. The software under test is Kanzi Studio, a desktop application for UI authoring having features ranging from UI layouting to setting up 3D rendering and shaders for OpenGL.
In addition to testing you can help the team by evaluating results of automatic tests and evaluating the quality of process work products, such as review records. If you have the right skills, there is an opportunity for automating some of the activities by scripting.
Who Are you?
You are a computer science student or otherwise a person willing to enter the field of professional software development. You value Quality over quantity and want to perform your duties accurately and precisely adapting the tester’s mindset. As a team-player you want to help the team succeed and you do this by finding issues and then communicating them in a persistent but neutral/diplomatic manner until their closing.
-Experience in software development either through work, studies or as a hobby
-Ability to use some complex desktop application fluently
-Motivation and interest to learn and practice hands-on professional software development
-Good communication skills in English
-Experience in using 2D and 3D content creation software (Photoshop, Sketch, Autodesk products 3D authoring software, e.g. 3ds Max), UI Frameworks (QT), Game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine)
-Programming skills (e.g. Python, C#)
-Courses done in Software Quality Assurance
-Software development and testing experience
-Experience in bug reporting and issue tracking systems
